Planning/Zoning
The information you currently have on the page is the County information.
Even though we help them with their planning and zoning activities they do have separate boards. So below is some information to be able to provide on this page.
CURRENT PLANNING AND ZONING ACTIVITIES
Beginning of October 2024, the Town of St. Leon launched a project to update its Comprehensive Plan – a long range planning tool that guides decision making about how the Town will grow over the next 5 to 10 year time period. The Comprehensive Plan often outlines goals and policies for managing growth while protecting the health, welfare, and quality of life of residents.
The last time the Comprehensive Plan was updated was in 2007, which can be viewed or downloaded from the Town’s website.
The Town has held several workshops to work through growth issues including existing land uses, future land uses and community profiles. As we continue the process the Town will like to welcome all citizens to involved in this process.
The next Comprehensive Plan Update Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12th from 6:30pm. To 8:30pm. There will be new draft copies of additional elements for the plan for review by the citizens and a new draft future land use map for review and comments as well. Hope to see everyone there.
